1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS
This is our 1987 Monte Carlo SS. We found this car on http://www.montecarloss.com. This was one of the many automobile internet transactions we have completed over the last couple of years.
The car was located in NY and had only 48k original miles.
The car was located in NY and had only 48k original miles and
is in excellent condition. I parted out my 1987 Turbo Buick and a 1986 Grand
National to make this project a reality. There has been a lot of hard work,
money, and time put into this project. I am anticipating to car to be completed
around March 2006

10/18/2005: Frame has been completed for weeks. The Brakes are expected in the next 2-4 weeks from http://www.baer.com. All of stainless fuel and brake lines are in from http://www.classictube.com and will be installed in the next 2 weeks. The motor is just about ready to be assembled. I am waiting on the oil pump kit to arrive. The suspension is all in and will be mounted to the frame at the same time the brakes are installed. Currently contemplating a front mount intercooler setup.
11/06/2005: I have mounted the front control arms to the frame. They have been powder coated black to match the frame. Polygraphite bushings were installed along with Moog Ball joints. The brakes arrived on Friday and look amazing. I have decided to upgrade the brake system. I am planning to install a Hydroboost from http://www.hydroboost.com. I have already ordered and received a heavy duty steering box and power steering pump from http://www.agrperformance.com. Polished stainless steel bolts have been ordered to assemble the body, frame and motor from http://alloyboltz.com. I came across some NOS discontinued interior items on E-bay and picked them up this week as well. Next weekend we will be hanging the brakes and suspension and hope to get the frame rolling on all four wheels for the first time in 9 months.
Special thanks to Tim Blessin, Mike Hogan, Jon Crissman and Brian Brown for making this project a reality!
